I love that nutritious, real food can also be affordable.

Often, when I think about real food price tag becomes a concern, but it doesn’t have to. Real food is often much let expensive than eating out.

Healthy eating is important for EVERY member of my family… all the way to my pets.

Take, for example my Garlic Roasted Chicken and Vegetables.

This dish was under $5 to make. The chicken legs where on sale for $.59 a pound (and the recipe calls for 2 pounds) and the potatoes maybe cost $1 (I don’t even think that much). Add in the spices, olive oil and garlic and you easily have a feast of real food for under $5 and serves 4.

As a person who likes to use whole ingredients in my meals it’s also import to me that the food I feed my dog is also real.

The Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® dog food’s boast “Real Recipes. Real Ingredients. Real Good”. This means whole ingredients you can see and a taste your dog will love.

So while my family got to enjoy my Garlic Roasted Chicken and Vegetables, Flynn enjoyed some Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® DISH Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe with Veggies & Fruit dry dog food. You can also buy Beef & Brown Rice Recipe with Veggies, Fruit & Chicken.

Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® DISH is perfect my medium sized dog and also those smaller and larger than him. I loved that it is made from real slow-roasted chicken pieces, crisp carrots, garden and field peas, farm grown potatoes and tree ripened apples.

Is your family trying to eat more real foods these days? And will you be getting your pets involved?

If you do switch do it gradually. Make sure to introduce the food by incorporating it into your current dog food over the course of 7-10 days. You can slowly replace your dog’s current food with Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® DISH until it’s completely switched over.

Rachael’s personal proceeds of  Nutrish®  products go to Rachael’s Rescue, which was created to help shelter pets (like my Flynny was)  in need.
